mcpsearchconsole vs Coupler.io
Pick Coupler.io if you already move ads, CRM and analytics data through Coupler.io data flows and want your AI to read Search Console next to them, or you also need the same data in Google Sheets, Looker Studio or a warehouse. Pick Search Console MCP if Search Console is the thing you want to ask about: sign in with Google, live data on every question, URL inspection, sitemaps and ranked SEO analysis, from free to €4.99 a month.

Setup compared
Both are hosted, so nothing is installed on your computer.
Coupler.io, following its Search Console MCP page as of 2 October 2026:
- Set up a data flow in Coupler.io that connects your Google Search Console.
- Go to the MCP Server page in Coupler.io and follow the instructions there.
- Ask your AI about your Search Console data.
Coupler says the MCP server takes 5 minutes to set up.
Search Console MCP, the hosted Google Search Console MCP server:
- Add
https://mcpsearchconsole.com/mcpas a connector in your AI client (in claude.ai it is "Add custom connector"; in ChatGPT it needs Developer mode). - Sign in with Google and approve the read-only Search Console permission.
- Ask a question.
No data flow and no token. The trade-off is scope: one Coupler.io connection carries every source you set up there.
What each can do that the other cannot
What Coupler.io can do that Search Console MCP cannot
- Answer across sources. With Google Ads, Facebook Ads, GA4, HubSpot or Shopify in Coupler.io data flows, one conversation can compare organic clicks with paid spend or CRM deals. We only read Search Console and public site checks.
- Feed more than your AI. The same data flows send data to Google Sheets, Looker Studio, Power BI, BigQuery and other destinations, with transformations (joins, appends, aggregations) and 230+ dashboard templates. We do nothing outside your AI.
- Keep data beyond the API. Coupler says it can store data on the platform, and a flow can send rows to a sheet or warehouse you keep, where history can build up. We read what Google keeps (16 months) and store none of it.
- More AI clients. Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity, which are not on our list.
- Discover and Google News. Its page lists Discover and Google News performance. Our tools focus on web search performance.
What Search Console MCP can do that Coupler.io cannot
- Live answers. Each question goes to the Search Console API. Coupler.io answers from data flows that refresh daily on Starter and Active (hourly on Pro). Search Console itself trails by about two days either way.
- Ranked SEO analysis in one call.
search_insightsreturns striking-distance queries, low-CTR pages, cannibalization and the biggest movers already scored. A general connector returns rows and leaves the analysis to the model. - Site checks. DNS, redirect chains, robots.txt, TLS certificates and PageSpeed with Core Web Vitals.
- Notes. Save a migration date or brand terms once and later conversations read them; on Team, notes are shared with everyone on your company domain.
Both cover URL inspection: Coupler.io lists "URL Inspection Data (indexing status, coverage issues)"; we have inspect_url. Neither tracks SERP rankings, backlinks or keyword volumes.
Cost over a year
Prices read on 2 October 2026, excluding VAT. Coupler.io's own pages disagree on the entry plan for MCP:
- Its Search Console MCP page and its MCP page both say: "You need to be on at least the Professional plan and have data flows configured in Coupler.io."
- Its pricing page names the plan "Pro", lists "AI data analysis" on every paid plan from Starter, and shows its AI integrations (Claude, ChatGPT, Custom MCP and others) as one row across the plan table without marking which plans include them.
| Option | Billed annually, 12 months | Billed monthly, 12 months |
|---|---|---|
| Search Console MCP Free | €0 (40 data pulls a month) | €0 |
| Search Console MCP Solo | €59.88 | €59.88 |
| Search Console MCP Team (everyone on your company domain) | €359.88 | €359.88 |
| Coupler.io Starter (3 accounts, daily refresh) | $288 | $384 |
| Coupler.io Active (15 accounts, daily refresh) | $1,188 | $1,584 |
| Coupler.io Pro (50 accounts, hourly refresh) | $2,388 | $3,108 |
Read literally, the MCP page puts Coupler.io at $2,388 a year; if Starter is enough, $288. Either way you get 400+ sources and other destinations, which is a fair price for a reporting stack and a high one for Search Console alone. Coupler offers 7 free days with Pro limits. Our plans are on the pricing page.
How to switch
From Coupler.io to Search Console MCP
- Add
https://mcpsearchconsole.com/mcpas a connector in your AI client and sign in with the Google account that has your properties. - Ask "list my Search Console properties" to confirm access.
- If you still use Coupler.io for other sources, keep its connector and tell your AI to use Search Console MCP for Search Console questions. If you used Coupler.io only for Search Console, remove its connector and its Search Console data flow.
