mcpsearchconsole vs Supermetrics

Both are hosted, so nothing is installed. Supermetrics offers two routes into your AI, and they are sold differently.

Supermetrics in Claude or ChatGPT, following its Search Console to Claude page as of 2 October 2026:

1. Visit the Supermetrics connector page in the Claude directory and click Connect.
2. Authorize Google Search Console when prompted.
3. Ask about your Search Console data in plain English.

Supermetrics MCP, following its MCP page: log in at hub.supermetrics.com, add the MCP endpoint to your AI client, authorize with OAuth, then query. Supermetrics describes this as "a developer-facing tool for technical users who want to connect Supermetrics data to their own AI agents, workflows, or applications". Its docs say chat users "don't need the MCP server", while its Search Console to Claude page says the MCP server works behind the scenes.

Search Console MCP, the hosted Google Search Console MCP server:

1. Add https://mcpsearchconsole.com/mcp as a connector in your AI client (in claude.ai it is "Add custom connector"; in ChatGPT it needs Developer mode).
2. Sign in with Google and approve the read-only Search Console permission.
3. Ask a question.

With a Supermetrics account, its Claude route is about as short as ours.

What Supermetrics can do that Search Console MCP cannot

• Join Search Console with your other channels. One conversation can put organic clicks next to Google Ads spend, GA4 conversions or HubSpot and Salesforce deals. We only read Search Console and public site checks.
• Serve reporting too. The same subscription feeds Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Excel and Power BI, and on Enterprise Snowflake and BigQuery, plus Supermetrics Studio with monthly AI credits. We do nothing outside your AI.
• Page fields we do not return. Its Search Console fields include page title, meta description and word count.
• Copilot and Gemini Enterprise. Neither is on our list.

What Search Console MCP can do that Supermetrics cannot

• URL inspection. Supermetrics' Search Console to Claude page says it "focuses on search analytics data" and that "for URL-level inspection results, use Google Search Console directly". We have inspect_url for index status, last crawl and canonical.
• Ranked SEO analysis in one call. search_insights returns striking-distance queries, low-CTR pages, cannibalization and the biggest movers already scored. A general connector returns rows and leaves the analysis to the model.
• Site checks. DNS, redirect chains, robots.txt, TLS certificates and PageSpeed with Core Web Vitals.
• Notes. Save a migration date or brand terms once and later conversations read them; on Team, notes are shared with everyone on your company domain.

Both read sitemap status: Supermetrics lists submitted URLs, indexed URLs and sitemap warnings and errors, and we have list_sitemaps. Neither tracks SERP rankings, backlinks or keyword volumes.

Prices read on 2 October 2026, excluding VAT. Supermetrics' own pages disagree on which plans include MCP:

• Its MCP page: "The Supermetrics MCP is included in all Supermetrics plans that include Data API access."
• Its pricing page lists "Data API & MCP access" under Enterprise only, while Starter and Growth each include "1 core destination" chosen from ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Excel and Power BI.

So Search Console in Claude or ChatGPT through the AI chats route starts at Starter; the MCP endpoint for your own agents is an Enterprise feature on the pricing page.

For Search Console alone, Starter costs about nine times Solo before currency. For a team reporting on several channels, Supermetrics buys reporting we do not offer. Our plans are on the pricing page.

From Supermetrics to Search Console MCP

1. Add https://mcpsearchconsole.com/mcp as a connector in your AI client and sign in with the Google account that has your properties.
2. Ask "list my Search Console properties" to confirm access.
3. If you keep Supermetrics for other channels, tell your AI to use Search Console MCP for Search Console questions. Otherwise remove the Supermetrics connector.

From Search Console MCP to Supermetrics

1. Start a Supermetrics trial, connect the Supermetrics connector in Claude (or set up the MCP endpoint if your plan includes it) and authorize Search Console.
2. Copy any notes you saved with us (ask "list my notes").
3. Remove our connector, cancel any paid plan from your account page and revoke our access in your Google account.
